NATIONAL GUARD and STATE ARCHIVES
OKLAHOMA - WYOMING

The website of the Council of State Historical Records Coordinators contains a listing of all states, which includes telephone and fax numbers, in addition to e-mail addresses for historical records maintained by each state (including Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, and North Mariana Islands.)  This information is useful for obtaining service data for reconstruction purposes.

On the website for the National Guard Bureau select "National Guard by State", when the U.S. map is displayed click on the appropriate state; it will take you to information about that particular state.

It is recommended that you first try the below listings; however, if you cannot establish contact, check the websites shown above for assistance in locating the right number.  See NPRC 1865.112, for additional information about specific state offices.  Remember, the "Departments of Veterans Affairs" listed in this section are state offices, not federal.
